hOW THIS DIVISION OF FIT WITH SHERRY BEGAN.

I did not wake up one day and decide to run events, that is for sure! I work a full-time job, Monday - Friday and the work I was doing required a partner. However, my partner and I were in different locations at the time when I clearly heard someone behind me say "Backyard Vendor Fair". I turned around to answer the person, but nobody was there. So I looked up and said, "Ok God, What was that about?" From there the Backyard Vendor Fair began, and this is what it looked like:
August 27th, 2016 - 19 vendors/crafters in our back yard
June 17, 2017 - 22 vendors/crafters in our back yard
​July 14, 2018 - 25 vendors/crafters in our back yard
July 13th, 2019 - we max out our yard w/ 35 vendors/crafters
July 11th, 2020 - we are now at Macungie Memorial Park with 50 crafters and vendors and growing each year!
One evening, in talking with my husband and daughter, and seeing how much I enjoy running the Backyard Vendor Fair and helping small businesses to grow, we began to think about other possibilities. 
Then I met Danielle Burke and our Welcome Fall Vendor Craft Fair began in November, with Danielle running our first basket raffle. Then came the March event, Jump Into Spring and the Youth Craft Fair in September, which is only for entreprneurs under the age of 18 and our most recent event being that of the Food, Wine and Craft Fair in May. Every year we learn and grow and I look forward to running more events as I am led.

The Backyard Vendor Fair is my baby. We hit 174 vendors, crafters, food & beverage in 2023. It definitely was a lot, considering it is only my husband and I who work the event, with 1 or 2 other helpers.  We now offer tethered hot air balloon rides through Lehigh Valley Hot Air since 2023. DJ Ivo has been bringing us great music since 2017. Key Bank sponsored our banner and every year forward is sponsoring it to be put up again. We have a children's area and food court. Last year we were able to have live music by the Ceviche Duo. In 2023 and 2024, we gave our basket raffle proceeds to the Chemo Bag. This year we have partnered with them for the Backyard Vendor Fair in order to raise more funds for them and for the Backyard Vendor Fair. update on some vendors:
I have been working to help small businesses grow through their particiapation in my events. I am happy to report there hae been 4 who have since opened their own brick and mortor locations!

March 28th, 2026, Jump Into Spring Vendor Craft Fair - This will be our 5th year and is completely indoors. No food trucks are allowed as the park's kitchen will be open for fundraising. We offer a basket raffle with proceeds going to the Macungie Memorial Park. Youth crafters and vendors are accepted.

May 2nd, 2026, Food, Wine & Craft Fair - This will be our 3rd year. No Youth vendors or crafters will be accepted at this event. We do our best not to duplicate food. There is a beer collector's event inside the building the same day as this 100% outdoor event. A basket raffle is offered at this event and each year we will choose a new organization.

July 11th, 2026, Backyard Vendor Fair - This will be the 10 year anniversary and it is my biggest event AND THIS IS HOW IT ALL BEGAN. Outside only, we offer a variety of shopping and activities throughout the day. There is a children's area, food court, music and tethered hot air balloon rides depending on the weather conditions. Youth vendors and crafters are encouraged to participate in this amazing event. The basket raffle proceeds from this event go to the Chemo Bag. I encourage you to look up https://thechemobag.org/

OUR YOUTH EVENT NO LONGER EXISTS DUE TO A LACK OF FOLLOW-THROUGH ON INTERESTED PARTIES.

November 14th, 2026, Welcome Fall Vendor Craft Fair - We are excited to end the year with this great event. This is our 7th year. This event is an indoor/outdoor event. We are thankful for our military and show appreciation all year, but at this event we look for our basket raffle proceeds to benefit a veteran organization . This years proceeds will benefit Wreaths Across America. Oh and did I mention, our Santa is an Army veteran!
